WIS 89 Resurfacing - Walworth County

Project Location

WIS 89, from County A to Willis Ray Road in Walworth County.

Project Overview

The purpose of this 7 mile long resurfacing project is to improve the pavement surface of WIS 89 from County A to Willis Ray Road in Walworth County. This segment of roadway was constructed in 1926 and was last resurfaced in 2006. The pavement is currently experiencing longitudinal and transverse cracking. This project would provide a new driving surface to address the pavement deterioration, improve ride quality, and extend the usable life of the roadway.

No changes to the number of lanes or existing geometry are proposed, and no right of way acquisition is anticipated as part of this project.

Schedule

Construction is currently scheduled for 2023.

Traffic Impacts

During construction, WIS 89 will be closed and detoured for through traffic. Access will be maintained for businesses and residents throughout construction.
