US 14 (High Echo Lane to Locust Street) & US 14/Main Street (WIS 27) intersection, Westby - Vernon County
North Main Street (US 14) between High Echo Lane and Locust Street is planned to be reconstructed. The approximately 1.6-mile project will replace the pavement structure, improve intersections, improve pedestrian accommodations, permit driveway and access connections, replace the storm sewer system, and update the street lighting. North Main Street will be reconstructed with two (2) travel lanes, parking lanes, and intersection improvements. The North Main Street and Main Street intersection (US 14/US 61 & WIS 27) is undergoing evaluation for reconfiguration. Various construction staging and traffic detour scenarios are being evaluated for consideration. This project will require the acquisition of right-of-way and temporary limited easements for construction.
- 2022 - Construction anticipated
Construction staging will have a huge impact on the construction schedule and business access, along with the possibility of utilizing detours. WisDOT is currently evaluating a number of construction staging scenarios and will present these options at the second and third Public Meetings for comment, which are anticipated to occur in the summer of 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Currently in the preliminary design stage, determining impacts and evaluating intersections.
