WIS 28 (County V to WIS 175), between Horicon & Kewaskum - Dodge County
Project overview
The 4.67-mile project will mill and resurface approximately 3 ½ inches of deteriorating pavement on WIS 28 from County V (Metalcraft Dr) in Mayville to WIS 175 (Milwaukee St) in Theresa. Additional work will include replacement of existing guardrail ends west of Slag Rd/German Rd and east of County AY North.
Four deteriorated culvert pipes crossing WIS 28 will also be replaced in-kind. They are located halfway between County V and Slag Rd, east of Kamrath Rd, ¼ -mile east of County AY North, and 550 feet west of Theresa Fireman’s Park entrance. Curb Ramps in the Village of Theresa along WIS 28 will be replaced in order to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
Public involvement
Comments collected from project letters sent out in October will be summarized and posted here upon receipt.
Schedule
- Fall 2024 - Anticipated final plans will be completed
- 2024 - Village of Theresa utility work begins
- 2025 - Construction anticipated
