WIS 60 (0.32 miles East of County W to Approximately 200 feet East of WIS 67), between Lowell & Hartford – Dodge County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) plans to improve this 10.55 mile section of WIS 60 between Lowell and Hartford by replacing the existing asphalt pavement and stabilizing the underlying pavement base aggregate. This treatment is needed to extend the pavement service life.
Additional improvements include:
- Replacing guardrail end terminals as needed
- Adding centerline and shoulder rumble strips
- Increasing the paved shoulder from 3 to 5 feet within the existing roadway footprint
- Replace several cross culverts and culvert endwalls

Traffic impacts/detours
Traffic will be detoured during construction. The proposed detour route is will utilize WIS 26, WIS 33, and WIS 67. Access to all properties within the project limits will be maintained during construction to the greatest extent possible.
