WIS 81 (County K to S Paddock Road), Newark - Rock County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the WIS 81 corridor by removing and replacing several inches of asphaltic pavement due to aging and cracking pavement. The proposed undertaking will consist of widening the paved shoulders from 3-feet to 5-feet, installing left turn lanes at County H, installing left turn lanes at S Paddock Road, replacing guardrail as needed, and installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips.

- 20231 - Construction anticipated, possible advancement to 2029 if funding becomes available
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 81 will be closed to through traffic and detoured utilizing WIS 11 and WIS 213. Access will remain open for residents and businesses.
