Project overview

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) plans to improve the pavement conditions and improve ride quality and safety. Pavement surface has deteriorated with numerous cracks, ruts, and spot surface repairs. This project is 14.9 miles in length, begins at WIS 35 and ends at WIS 27.

Improvements include:

  • Pavement removal and replacement with asphaltic pavement
  • Replacing curb and gutter
  • Guardrail replacement
  • New pavement marking
  • Repair work or extensions on 9 box culverts

Upcoming

  • April 1, 2024 - Tree clearing begins
  • May 28, 2024 - Anticipated roadwork
  • October 31, 2024 - Anticipated completion

Past

Traffic impacts/detours

The road will be closed and detoured (local traffic only; no through traffic) to occur no earlier then May 28 and be opened by September 13. Detour will utilize WIS 56 and US 14. For the remaining time of construction, the road will remain open to traffic under flagging operations.
