WIS 82 (WIS 56 to the Kickapoo River), between Viroqua & La Farge - Vernon County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) plans to improve the pavement on this 11.1 mile section of WIS 82, from WIS 56 to the Kickapoo River bridge in La Farge. The roadway needs improvement because the surface is aged and deteriorated with extensive cracking and rutting.
Improvements include:
- Pavement removal and replacement with asphaltic pavement
- Replacing curb and gutter
- Guardrail replacement
- Centerline rumble strips
- New pavement marking
- Repairs to 2 bridges and 3 box culverts

Traffic impacts/detours
The road will remain open and traffic will be managed with flagging operations.
