Location
Overview
This project is proposing to rehabilitate 3.1 miles of WIS 11 from County C to 67th Drive in Racine County. Proposed improvements include:
- Remove the existing pavement and replace with new pavement and base course
- Install new sidewalk from Industrial Park Drive to High Street
- Improve the drainage of ditches along the corridor
- Replace outdated traffic signal equipment
- Reconfigure the WIS 11 and US 45 intersection so that trucks can better make all turning movements
Exhibits
Traffic Impacts
WIS 11 would be closed to through traffic during construction. Local access to residences and businesses
would be maintained. A detour would be posted for through traffic. US 45 would remain open to through traffic during construction and the roadway would be constructed in stages.
Real Estate
New right-of-way and easements would be needed along the project corridor. Real estate acquisition is currently expected to begin in 2025.
Schedule
Construction is currently scheduled for 2028, pending funding availability.
