Special license plates

View processing wait times for Special and Personalized Plates

Note:

The certificate of registration will arrive in the mail 2-4 weeks after application is mailed in.
You will receive your specialty or personalized plates 4-6 weeks after you receive your certificate of registration in the mail.

Ways to apply:

If you already have a vehicle titled in your name and do not currently have license plates but would like a personalized or specialty license plate, apply through AccessGov.
If you need both a title for your vehicle and you're interested in a non-personalized specialty license plate, apply through eMV Public.
If you already have a license plate on your vehicle and want to change them to a personalized of specialty license plate, print and complete the appropriate form below and mail it in with a check or money order.

Additional Special Group License plate Information;

Autocycles are eligible for special group license plates. Two plates will be issued at the standard auto/light truck plate size (12"x6") and both plates need to be attached (front/back).
If you are requesting personalized special group license plate, the message will be centered in the space located between then end of the group logo decal and the actual physical end of the license plate. See example(s) below.
