The second PIM for the WIS 35 corridor is scheduled for January 14, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the La Crosse Main Street Library Auditorium (lower level), 800 Main Street, La Crosse. For more information about past public involvement, please visit the public involvement page.

Study overview and locations

The purpose of the WIS 35 study is to develop alternatives that improve safety and address traffic operations concerns where practicable, while addressing existing and projected infrastructure needs through the design year (2050).

  • Study limits: WIS 35 (West Avenue, Lang Drive, George Street) from US 14/61 (South Avenue) to US 51 (Rose Street)

  • Develop study purpose and identify corridor needs
  • Develop alternative concepts
  • Field investigations

2024

  • Early 2024 - Initial Public involvement activities
  • Alternative development
    • Develop preliminary alternatives to address corridor needs
    • Continue to refine alternatives and coordinate with all stakeholders
2025
  • January - Hold second Public Involvement Meeting
  • Winter/Spring 2025 - Select preferred alternative
  • Winter/Spring 2025 - Complete environmental study
